The horses got out!

Today, at the farm…

Mum glances out the window, & all 5 horses are standing munching grass in our front lawn!

Apparently someone left a gate unlatched!

My mum comes back to me with a bag of clump brown sugar, & I gently offer them handfuls…

We almost get them into the barn, but my mum has trouble closing the door, & they bolt like a group of unruly teenagers…

Gallop around our pond, disappear down a path, then show up on our back lawn again!

I return with more brown sugar, & finally get the leader close enough & slip a rope around his neck…

Slowly coal him through the gate…Ahhh!

Then, to next in lead, sugar, sweet talk, rope & gently lead him in…

The other three just decided finally to follow in, with more promises of sugar…

Yay! Crisis averted! All 5 back in the paddock safely!

Next task…Planting the Manazilla plant in the barrel planter…
